An Optical Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a friendly and efficient patient experience when patients visit the practice.
This position is also responsible for balancing patient flow on the optical floor, answering telephones, maintaining patient files, distributing daily correspondence, and ordering inventory of clerical supplies.

ResponsibilitiesPull prescriptions, check insurance for OpticiansMaintain organized patient filesAssist patients as they check out, ie, next appointment, enter order and payment information into EPM/EMR, accept payment, etc.
Call patients to inform them when eyeglasses/contact lenses are readyBalance cash drawer dailyPerform proper opening and closing proceduresKeep inventory of office supplies and re-order as necessaryAnswer telephones in a prompt and courteous mannerGreet all patients as they arrive with a smileDisplay a friendly and compassionate manner when dealing with patientsWork habits are neat and organizedGets along with co-workers and demonstrates a positive, team player attitudeInitiative to solve problems and complete projectsQualificationsMinimum of a high school diplomaSome optical front desk experience is strongly preferredPrefer one or more years experience working in a medical position where patient contact was requiredKnowledge of insurance plans is helpfulMust have the ability to establish confidence and trust with patientsHave the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skillsMust have an empathetic and compassionate mannerBasic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office requiredAbility to perform as part of a team as well as work independentlyIn Turn We Will Provide:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
