POSITION SUMMARY The Night Shift House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, behavioral health practice, and Ashley's Policies, goals and objectives.
The Night Shift House Supervisor promotes the mission, vision and values of Ashley treatment on the night shift.
The Night Shift House Supervisor will assist the ADON/DON in the developing of departmental goals and objectives consistent with philosophy of the organization.
; evaluating patient care, Staff and patient safety and ensuring that positive relations are maintained to all staff including contractors working the night shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The HS assesses staffing to meet patient care needs and responses to disaster situations.
The HS provides supervision on the night shift acts as a resource person and informs department managers and administration of patient care issues, employee issues and potentially litigious situations.
The HS makes rounds in all buildings, supervises all staff, including contracted employees, on the campus during his/her shift.
The HS will assist with medication administration during delays staffing shortages and assist Ca's and security team with monitoring community activity.
The supervisor demonstrates a professional demeanor to staff, patients and families.
Assists ADON to investigate and develop action plans in response to Incident/Accident Reports, staff and patient concerns Shares information and follow-up with necessary personnel and ADON The supervisor participates and supports the AAT performance improvement program and will assist in providing support and training to staff as indicated, by completing monthly chart audits, reports and summary.
Participates in bi-monthly managers meetings for planning, training and performance improvement initiatives.
The HS interacts with a patient population ranging in age from 18years old to geriatrics.
The HS will initiate after hours admissions as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland.
BCLS certification required Minimum of three (3) years of recent nursing experience in a chemical dependency center or acute care facility Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility required.
Proven clinical competence in specific RN performance standards.
Understanding of standards of care and practice for all age groups.
Ability to execute the authority and responsibility entailed in the management of Ashley's staff in the absence of the Directors/Managers; Ability to provide effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, interact with the nursing personnel, medical staff members, administrative staff, department directors, patients and their families/significant others, maintaining strong organizational and prioritization abilities Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK May need to work untraditional work hours such as weekends, evenings, observed holidays, and nights.
This is an essential or critical position which will require reporting to work as defined by the business needs of Ashley, Inc.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
