Summary:
Under limited supervision, the Campground Guest Services (Part Time) is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through high level of customer service performance by booking reservations, answering questions, assisting with guest needs, and resolving or escalating any guest concerns or issues.
Operates point-of-sale system for retail sales, and reservations system.
Essential Functions:
Greets guests and campground visitors, provides information, campground services and other information as needed in a courteous and professional manner.
Book reservations and coordinate registration Operate a register and/or point of sale system to complete cash and credit card transactions Answers phones in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner, Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Operates the campground office, including sales, stocking, and merchandising, making reservations and assigning campsites.
Assist campers launch kayaks and canoes Resolves minor guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer, informs manager of major problems, complaints, disturbances or unhappy guests.
Completes daily paperwork to include balancing drawer, documenting adjustments, etc.
Provides professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
Assists in keeping Campground office, store, and guest areas neat, clean and tidy.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager Minimum
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years old or older Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of basic computer skills required.
Must successfully complete background check.
Flexible availability must be able to work weekends, holidays and afternoon/evenings.
Regular and predictable punctuality and attendance of scheduled hours is required.
Have reliable transportation to/from worksite Preferred Qualifications Previous guest services experience and demonstrates excellent customer service skills Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrate organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Physical Activities/ Working Conditions Requirements:
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs Exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
(for example, to assist launching kayaks) More than 50% of the typical work day will be spent walking, standing, reaching, grasping and using repetitive motions of wrist, hands and fingers.
Between 25% and 50% of the typical work day will be spent crouching and/or stooping, kneeling.
Less than 25% of the day is spent climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying crouching and/or stooping, kneeling.
Must have visual clarity to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribing, use of computers and expansive reading.
Sensory abilities required include vision, feeling and touching with more than 50% of the day spent talking and hearing.
Majority of work will be performed within an indoor office environment; however, work may be occasionally subjected to adverse weather conditions.
Noise level is considered normal.
