Shop Technician, Entry Level, Rents

Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for an Entry Level Shop Technician, Rents for our Edgewood branch.
The Entry Level Shop Technician, Rents is responsible for preparing Rental equipment for transport to customer sites or for customer pick up by performing basic maintenance and repairs to Caterpillar and allied Rental equipment including: Changing/charging batteries, replacing hoses, disassembling machines as needed to perform repair work and reassembling to factory specifications. Inspects components removed from machines to determine their reusability. Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance and service manuals/bulletins. Prepares parts requisitions, parts returns and documents all service work. Maintains work area, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment. Performs various other duties as assigned.
Minimum of one year of experience with Caterpillar or comparable competitive work tool and equipment repair and/or Certification of Graduation from a Diesel Technology Trade School. Must have experience performing basic maintenance including checking fluid levels, changing oil and replacing fuel filters. Must have computer software experience and the ability to repair Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar construction equipment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
