Field Technician II, Tractor

Responsibilities:

TheField Service Technician II, Tractor is responsible for providing advanced level diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of all engine/components on heavy construction equipment at customer jobsites. Disassembles, inspects and determines parts needed and reassembles to factory specifications. Performs heavy electrical and computer repairs. Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance and service manuals/bulletins. Interacts with customers, answers repair-related questions and refers other issues to the Supervisor. Prepares parts requisitions and returns. Completes Service and other necessary reports and forms accurately and in a timely manner. Safely drives a service vehicle. Performs various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have previous experience with heavy construction equipment repair. Must have experience troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced level mechanical repair and have the ability to repair Caterpillar and competitive components and machines. Must be well organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with customers on a professional level. Must have experience in the use and application of computer software. Must be able to work independently, be willing to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet customer demand. Must have a valid driver s license and good driving record.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
